Dodds, Monroe and Grewal (1991) proposed a conceptual model of the effect of price, brand name and store name on product evaluation. The result of this study indicated when the consumers’ perception of brand name and the perception of price were more favorite, the consumers’ perception of perceived quality and perceived value and purchasing intention would more positively enhance.
Consumers’ perception of brand of product may affect the online shopping. Donthu and Garcia (1999) were the first to bring up the hypothesis that brand of product was higher among online shopper that non-online shoppers, although the hypothesis was not statistically significant. But Balabanis and Reynolds (2001) also examined the influence of brand attitudes on the attitudes of online shoppers. They found the result was positively and significantly.

The brand could express six meanings to consumers, included characteristic, benefit, value, culture, personality, and user. The consumers could use these to evaluate what they wanted.

  More and more people use the Internet to purchase products. There are thousands of products available online. These products can be classified according to the purpose into clothing, accessories, electronics categories, and home and gardens. Consumers can find up-to-date products, bargains or secondhand goods. All of these are available on the Website.
  The major shopping products on internet are the clothing and accessories. They may be divided into men's clothing, women's clothing, teen's clothing, kids' clothing, shoes, hats, bags, sunglasses...etc. Consumers can choose the size, favorite style, colors from the introduction and pictures of products.
  Next, the electronics categories are also popular on internet. They may be divided into phones, cameras, televisions, MP3 players, video games...etc. Some consumers buy latest products from overseas because certain products are not availabe for sale yet in their own countries. On the other hand, consumers can also buy second hand products for cheaper price.
  Finally, consumers may like to buy the home and gardens products on internet. They may be divided into furniture, garden tools, kitchen appliances, hardware...etc. Some of these products are heavy and huge. It's not easy for consumers to take it home by themselves. The vendor will provide express delivery and send the product to the buyer.
  There are more and more Internet shopping products now. Consumers can easily get their purchases in any place anytime. Internet shopping might be a benefit for some busy and lazy people.
